Wet & Dry Kiwifruit Pollination

Let’s Flourish Ltd (Flourish) is a locally owned and operated business designed to increase your kiwifruit crop yield and enhance your fruit’s taste through artificial pollination. Built on the notion that modern technology can be utilised to develop an already successful methodology, Flourish specialise in both wet and dry pollen application, taking what nature does to the next level.

Our vision is to collaborate with growers and nature to deliver a customised pollination plan that results in maximum returns for your orchard.

How it works

For years, nature has been responsible for ensuring optimal Kiwifruit pollination. Research and technological development has since demonstrated that including artificial pollination in the process can dramatically improve fruit quality, size and yield. Artificial pollination allows for the selection of optimal timing, when the flowers are most receptive to receiving and adhering pollen. It reduces the risk of fluctuating bee movements and ensures distribution is carried out with the correct volume of pollen, proximity to the flower, velocity and coverage.
The result is more fruit, better taste, higher OGR.
Flourish use 4x4 quad bikes customised with cutting edge technology to apply your pollen. Our trained drivers will travel your orchard at the required date and work in partnership with nature to your benefit.

GPS LOCATION MAPPING: EXTERNAL GPS RECEIVER

Each Flourish quad bike is fitted with an aviation grade GPS location tracker which collects critical data during the distribution.

GPS LOCATION MAPPING: REPORTING

The quad bike’s movement data is recorded to be supplied to clients post-distribution to report on distance traveled, altitude and route taken ensuring accuracy and transparency.

About Hamish

Hamish Fenton, Co-Founder of Flourish, has grown up on Kiwifruit orchards. The son of a kiwifruit grower, Hamish experienced first-hand the rotational nature of this dynamic industry; the pruning season, the picking season, the packing season; all terms that have shaped Hamish’s vocabulary and now career. He even recalls sitting with Dad on a float in the historic Te Puke Kiwifruit Parade.
Now settled in Te Puke with a young family, Hamish holds a senior role as packhouse manager for one of the region’s largest packhouses.

Flourish is the realisation of a dream to be part of the generation that has the privilege and responsibility to help shape the future Kiwifruit industry.
